The Spooky Festival is one of the most profitable recurring events in Hypixel Skyblock. Occurring every Skyblock Autumn (specifically from Autumn 29th to Autumn 31st), this server-wide event lasts for exactly one in-game season, which translates to roughly one real-world hour. Our timer above stays perfectly synced with the server API so you never miss a minute of the action.
During the Spooky Festival, nearly every mob you kill on public islands has a chance to drop special event-exclusive currency: Green Candy and the significantly rarer Purple Candy. These candies are highly sought after by the community, driving massive spikes in Bazaar trading volume leading up to and during the event.
Your "Candy Score" is tracked in the scoreboard on the right side of your screen. To maximize your score, you need to equip specific gear designed to boost your "Spooky Chance," which dictates the likelihood of a mob dropping a candy upon death. The higher the level of the mob you kill, the higher the base chance it will drop a candy. Because of this, endgame players often flock to the End Island to farm Level 90 Endermen, or the Crimson Isle to farm high-level Blaze variations.
If you want to place in the top tiers of the festival leaderboard, simply running around with your normal dungeon gear won't cut it. You must optimize your loadout specifically for this event:
While the festival is active (and for a short period after it concludes), a special NPC named the Fear Mongerer spawns in the Hub village. This NPC acts as the event's exclusive shop. You can trade the Green and Purple Candies you farmed for incredibly powerful permanent upgrades.
The most sought-after items from the Fear Mongerer include the Candy Relic, Vampire Witch Mask, and high-tier pet items. Because the Fear Mongerer leaves the island shortly after the event ends, players who missed the festival will flock to the Bazaar to buy candies from players who farmed them. This creates one of the best flipping opportunities in the game for savvy Bazaar traders who buy candies during the off-season and sell them during the festival spike.
